As part of a deployment of six USAF B-52H Stratofortresses to RAF Fairford, four of the giant bombers have made flights around Europe. On March 18, B-52s simulated missions to the Norwegian Sea, the Baltic Sea/Estonia and the Mediterranean Sea/Greece.

The B-52s are part of the Bomber Task Force currently deployed to the U.S. European Command area of responsibility, and are from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. They arrived at Fairford on March 14-15 and are expected to stay up to three weeks in the UK.
